This is an attempt at displaying a discography of King Crimson, Robert Fripp and related bands, projects and collaborations.
It will probably never will be fully accurate or complete.
It is largely based on the wonderful work of John Relph, which can be viewed in an archived form here.
Additional info has been compiled from DGM, Discogs, Wikipedia and the books of Martin C. Strong.
Yes, this is basically an Excel sheet. No, this is not ideal or particularly elegant.
I will try to change this in the near future.
Now in regards to the data displayed...
In the top left corner is the date this has last been changed - this may happen any given day, sometimes new releases may take a while until I realise they exist.
The next two columns are for my own, statistical purposes.
All dates have been given to my best knowledge, if I can find only month / year dates, it is displayed as such. If additionally this field is highlighted in yellow, no month is known. Recording dates have mainly been displayed only for live recordings, the most recent under "recording", the earliest under "rec alt", if applicable.
Reissues have only been added if they contain additional material.
The numbers of the Collectors' Club releases have been added in the "note" column. This column may feature other content in the future.
The "compiled" column is mainly used to show where the many single tracks offered as tickles by DGM have been compiled (MSMS being Mr. Stormy Monday Selection), I personally compile the live tickles released from 2016 onwards as Tour / Leg "albums". A couple of other releases have been markes a being compiled elsewhere. This will be added to.
Feel free to alert me of mistakes and oversights. Also I'm open to advice and hints on how to make this better. And finally, I'm no website designer (obviously), so please be patient.
Credit where credit is due - first and foremost this is in dedication to all the wonderful talent behind this music and all the people at DGM for bringing such a vast amount of material to. Last but not least, John Relph - now his is a proper discography.
